Our Selection

Moving Box Types

From small book boxes to full wardrobe carriers, we stock every type of box you need for a complete move.

Small Moving Boxes (Book Boxes)

16" x 12" x 12"

Compact and sturdy, these boxes are designed for heavy items that need to be kept in manageable sizes. Their smaller footprint prevents overloading and makes them easy to carry.

Best for: Books, canned goods, tools, small electronics

Tip: Keep weight under 50 lbs per box for safe lifting.

Medium Moving Boxes

18" x 18" x 16"

The all-purpose workhorse of any move. Medium boxes handle the majority of household items and strike the right balance between capacity and portability.

Best for: Kitchen items, toys, small appliances, shoes

Tip: This is the most commonly used box size in any move.

Large Moving Boxes

24" x 18" x 18"

Ideal for lightweight but bulky items. Large boxes maximize space for soft goods and irregularly shaped objects without becoming too heavy.

Best for: Linens, pillows, lampshades, large toys, clothing

Tip: Use packing paper to fill voids and prevent shifting.

Extra-Large Moving Boxes

24" x 24" x 24"

The biggest standard moving box. Reserved for very light, bulky items like bedding and stuffed animals. Overpacking with heavy items makes these difficult to move safely.

Best for: Bedding, comforters, large pillows, lightweight bulk items

Tip: Never exceed 65 lbs in an extra-large box.

Wardrobe Boxes

24" x 24" x 40" (with hanging bar)

Tall boxes with a built-in metal hanging bar that lets you transfer clothes directly from the closet. Eliminates folding, wrinkles, and the need to re-hang after your move.

Best for: Suits, dresses, coats, hanging garments

Tip: Each wardrobe box holds approximately 2 feet of closet space.

Dish Pack Boxes

18" x 18" x 28"

Double-wall construction provides extra protection for your most fragile items. The tall, narrow shape is designed specifically for nesting plates and wrapping glasses vertically.

Best for: Dishes, glassware, china, fragile kitchen items

Tip: Always use cell dividers for glasses and stemware.

Expert Advice

Packing Tips for a Better Move

1

Pack heavy items in small boxes

Books, tools, and canned goods should go in smaller boxes to keep the weight manageable and prevent bottom blowouts.

2

Fill every box completely

Partially filled boxes collapse when stacked. Use packing paper, towels, or clothing to fill empty space.

3

Label on multiple sides

Mark contents and destination room on at least two sides of each box so you can identify them no matter how they are stacked.

4

Reinforce the bottom

Use the H-taping method (tape across the center seam plus both edges) on every box for maximum strength.

5

Pack a first-night box

Keep essentials like toiletries, chargers, snacks, and a change of clothes in a clearly labeled box you can access first.

6

Wrap fragile items individually

Each plate, glass, and fragile item should be wrapped separately. Never nest unwrapped items together.
